Correct use
The driver should move the seat as far back as possible so that there is enough space for the airbag to fully play its protective role after an accidental expansion. The driver should not lean forward to control the car, and the sitting posture should be correct and close to the seat back, and the seat belt should be fastened. Children under 12 years old should sit in the back seat of the car and fasten the seat belt. Children weighing no more than 18 kg should be placed in the back seat equipped with a child seat device and fasten the seat belt.
Precautions
Generally, airbags have a validity period of 8-10 years. During daily driving, as long as the airbag indicator light or fault light on the dashboard is not on, it proves that the airbag is in normal working condition. But this does not mean that this is enough. We should also pay attention to the following points during use:
First, we should never knock or hit the part where the airbag is located at any time. We should not use water to directly rinse the airbag position, because the damp airbag cannot protect your life at a critical moment.
Then there is the sitting position. Generally speaking, the driver should not lean forward when driving, and the sitting position should be close to the seat. The backrest should be adjusted to be able to control the car comfortably, so that there will be enough space for the airbag to fully play its protective role after an accident.
For vehicles with airbags in the co-pilot position, children must not be allowed to sit in the front row or place child seats in this position, unless the airbag in this position can be manually turned off, otherwise the airbag will cause great harm to the child when it is detonated.
Finally, it is worth noting that if the seat belt is not fastened, the airbag will not only fail to protect the occupants, but also cause serious injuries to the occupants, because the explosive force of the airbag is amazing, enough to severely injure the driver. Passengers should fasten their seat belts when getting in the car, otherwise the airbag may pop out in the event of a car accident, which may cause more serious injuries to the passengers.
